We encourage all of our clients to book in for a service every 12 months. This enables us to diagnose and fix any issues, ensuring that your boiler is in good working condition and preventing any sudden breakdowns. A maintenance visit once a year maximises energy efficiency, saves money in the long run and guarantees peace of mind.
During the service, we’ll check the main boiler components, including the burner, heat exchanger and ignition pins. Our expert engineer will comprehensively inspect and clean each part, making repairs and carrying out replacements where needed. This will not only maintain the health of your heating system but will also validate the warranty of a boiler within its warranty period.

Sheffield born Harry Clarke formed the company in 1919 in the small Wharfedale village of Linton. He was soon joined by quarry worker Bill Evans, who worked for the firm into his seventies. Harry’s sons Alan and Peter joined the company in the late 1930’s, Alan as an RAF qualified Electrician, Peter as an apprentice under his father’s supervision. Alan later left the business following the onset of Parkinsons Disease but his wife Alison continued her role as Secretary until her retirement. Peter retired in 1992 leaving his youngest son Richard as the sole proprietor.
